Breana Valentine earned the first United East Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, announced on Monday. Valentine led the Wildcats to two victories at Alfred State on Friday and against Keuka on Saturday.
The sophomore transfer shined in her Wildcat debut weekend with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds to post a double-double in the season opener at Alfred State. Valentine dished out a team-high seven assists and had two blocks and a steal in the 65-56 victory. Against Keuka, Valentine produced a game-high 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting, grabbed seven boards and earned five steals in a 74-67 win.
For the week, Valentine averaged 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals and one block in the first two games of the season.Â
