WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College men's and women's tennis sophomores
Hunter Knosky (Camp Hill, Pa.) and
Faith Murray (Dillsburg, Pa.) were selected to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, respectively, the organization announced on Tuesday. The Wildcat duo are the first in program history to earn all-district accolades.
Student-athletes selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Team must be at least a sophomore or above, maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher and have competed in 70% of the institution's contests during the season.
Murray, a Building Automation Engineering Technology major, held a 3.93 GPA in the fall and earned a United East All-Conference Third Team selection this season recorded team-high 11 singles victories while splitting time between the No. 2 and No. 3 flights. Murray scored four doubles victories including a 3-4 mark at the No. 1 position.
Knosky earned a 3.82 GPA while studying HVAC scored one victory for the Wildcats in the No. 5 position and posted two victories in doubles competition.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 3 (Women) and June 4 (Men).
