Trio Earn CSC Academic All-District

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A trio of Penn College student-athletes were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Division III Softball Team, the organization announced. Senior Madison Herriman (Danville, Pa.) and junior Lexi Snyder (Heigins, Pa.) earned the honor for a second time, while sophomore Grace Lorson (Williamsport, Pa.) picked up her first nod.

In order to be selected to the all-district team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore or above, maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher and have competed in 90% of the institution's contests or have started in 66% of the contests during the season. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.

Herriman, a United East first team selection, was the Wildcats reliable leadoff batter with a team-high .384 batting average which ranked top 20 in the conference. The outfielder tallied 56 hits two doubles and a triple, and walked 15 more times to earn a .452 on-base percentage and scored a team-high 40 runs and swiped 26 stolen bases.

Lorson, a third team all-conference selection, batted .353 with 49 hits, six doubles and two triples in the Wildcats lineup this season. The outfielder finished second on the team with 17 stolen bases and added 30 runs scored while driving in 20 runs. 

Snyder finished the season with a .290 batting average after starting in all 43 games for the Wildcats. The catcher/first base tallied 38 hits, drove in 22 runs, and crossed home 17 times.
