LATHAM, N.Y. — Penn College sophomore Megan Kurian (Limerick, Pa.) was named the United East Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday. The Wildcat forward picked up her second weekly award of the season after scoring four goals during the past week.
Kurian scored half of the Wildcats' goals during a 2-0-0 week featuring a 4-2 victory at Penn State Berks and a 4-0 shutout against Wilson College. Against the Nittany Lions on Tuesday, Kurian gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead in the eighth minute and netted the eventual game-winning goal in the 31st minute. On Saturday, she scored one goal in each half and finished the week with 15 total shots, including seven on goal.
