LATHAM, N.Y. -- Penn College pitcher
Mackenzi Tice (Mansfield, Pa.) earned the final United East Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week award of the regular season, announced on Monday.
Tice went 3-0 with a 0.54 ERA over 16.0 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out 27 batters and limited opposing hitters to a .200 batting average
Her week was highlighted by a five-inning complete-game shutout against Keystone, where she allowed just one hit and struck out 11 batters. She followed that with a complete-game victory against Penn State Harrisburg in game one, allowing just one earned run over seven innings with seven strikeouts. Tice also added a dominant relief appearance, striking out seven over three scoreless innings in game two against the Lions to set a program single-season record with 18 victories.
