Kornbau was a member of the archery team for four years and was a three-time captain. Kornbau, a York Haven, Pa. native, was one of three members of the 2009 women's compound national championship team and a two-time All-American in 2008 and 2009. She was also an elected member of the United State College Archery board as a student representative in 2009 and 2010. Kornbau majored in Nursing.
