WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Taking seven of nine matches, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's tennis team defeated crosstown rival Lycoming College Thursday. The Wildcats dropped only one singles and one doubles match throughout the contest. The win improves the team to 2-4 overall.
Junior
Nathan Scott (Canton, Conn.) and sophomore
Jordan Rodgers (Biglerville) improved to 5-1 on the season at first doubles with an 8-0 victory. They both won in straight sets in singles with Scott taking first flight 6-3, 6-1 and Rodgers 6-0, 6-1 at second.
Freshmen
Noah Stahl (Sunbury) and
Taylor Herb (Sunbury) recorded their first third doubles victory of the season 8-4. Stahl took fifth singles 6-1, 6-1 and Herb won sixth in an eight game pro-set 8-0.
Rounding out the winners was sophomore
Christopher Morrin (Morrisville) who took third singles 6-2, 6-0.
Penn College next travels to Wilkes University on Saturday, Apr. 12 for a 1 p.m. match.
