WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College men's tennis team kicked off its spring season with an 8-1 win over Bible Baptist in a non-conference match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 3-2, while the Defenders dropped to 2-3.
Penn College didn't drop a set in its doubles sweep.
Jordan Rodgers and
Christopher Morrin won No.1 doubles,
Benjamin Leibig and
Seth Strickland teamed up to win the No. 2 doubles and
Rommel Cressman and
Derrick Morrison won the final doubles match.
Rodgers won his singles match over Adam Benjamin (6-1, 6-1), Leibig defeated Dillon Bowman (6-0, 6-2) and Morrin knocked off Wesley Pincince (6-3, 6-1) to give the Wildcats a 6-0 lead. Strickland dropped his singles match, while Cressman and
Matt Kulp won their singles matches.
Penn College returns to action April 3 at Bryn Athyn.
