WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won its second straight meet with a 6-3 victory over Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's tennis meet Friday. The Wildcats improved to 3-1 NEAC, 6-3 overall, while the Chargers dropped to 3-3, 3-6.
Penn College picked up wins in two of the three doubles competitions.
Jordan Rodgers and
Christopher Morrin won 8-6 and
Benjamin Leibig and
Seth Strickland earned an 8-2 victory.
Rodgers beat Alex Derus, 6-2, 6-3 in No. 1 singles, Leibig followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win against Nathan Amspacher and Morrin picked up a 6-4, 7-5 nod against Tedd Holbrook in No. 3 singles.
Rommel Cressman won No. 5 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) against Justin Bendo and LBC picked up wins in No. 4 and No.6 singles.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 10 a.m., hosting Penn State Berks.
