WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Wilkes University shutout Penn College 9-0 in a non-conference men's tennis match Sunday. The Colonels improved to 2-0, while the Wildcats fell to 0-1.
Wilkes led 3-0 after doubles competition with 8-0 wins in both No.2 and No. 3. Penn College's No. 1 doubles duo of
Christopher Morrin and
Benjamin Leibig battled Artyom Nabokin and Andrew Neidig before falling 8-4.
The Colonels handled the singles competition with straight-set wins in each.
The Wildcats return to the court Thursday, 4 p.m., hosting Lebanon Valley College.
