WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College picked up its first win of the season with a 6-3 win over Lebanon Valley College in a men's tennis match Thursday. The Wildcats improved to 1-1, while the Dutchmen fell to 0-1.
Christopher Morrin and
Benjamin Leibig teamed to win No. 1 doubles 8-3. After dropping the second double match, Penn College's
Jake Pichola and
Seth Strickland won No. 3 doubles 8-4.
Leibig won his singles match 6-4, 6-3 over Brent Greco and Morrin defeated Nick Jones 7-6 (6-3), 6-4 in No. 2 singles. LVC picked up wins in No. 3 and No. 4 singles, before Pichola and Strickland picked up wins in the final two singles competitions.
Penn College returns to action Thursday at Misericordia.
