WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a pair of 9-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference men's and women's tennis matches Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3 NEAC, 1-8 overall on the men's side and 2-1, 2-6 for the women.
Melissa Stabley and
Jane Herman had the most competitive matches for the women in No. 1 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Stabley fell 6-4, 6-4 to Honora Hegarty and Herman dropped a 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 decision to Sally Phung.
Christopher Morrin had the most competitive singles match for the Wildcats, falling 6-3, 6-3 in No. 2 singles. Morrin teamed with
Benjamin Leibig in a tough No. 1 doubles meet, dropping an 8-5 decision.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at King's College.
