WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Penn College dropped a pair of tennis matches to King's College Saturday in a non-conference men's and women's meet. The Wildcats men fell 8-1, while the women dropped a 9-0 decision.
The men dropped to 1-9 this season, while the women fell to 2-8.
In the men's meet,
Chris Morrin picked up Penn College's lone win in No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Matt Jones. Morrin teamed with Christopher Leibig in No. 1 doubles in a competitive match that duo dropped 9-8, 7-5.
In the women's meet,
Jane Herman had the Wildcats only competitive match in No. 3 singles. She was edged by Lauren Derazi 7-6 in the first set, 7-4 in the tiebreaker and 6-3 in the second set.
Penn College returns to action next weekend at Keuka and Wells
