Box Score READING, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 68-43 decision to Adrian College in a nonconference women's basketball game Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2, while the Bulldogs went to 2-2.
How it Happened: Penn College hung in during the first half, trailing 35-25 at the intermission. But Adrian took command with a 19-6 advantage in the third quarter. Penn College's largest lead was two and its biggest deficit was 27.
Inside the Box:
Cassi Kuhns led the Wildcats with nine points and
Madison Klock added eight. Sha'Trice Graves led Adrian with 17 points. Ja'Quea Dyer pulled down seven rebounds to lead Penn College. Rachel Bucher topped Adrian with eight caroms.
Outside the Box: "We came out of the gate with high energy and it showed as we battled in the first half. We've shot our highest shooting percentage of 50% in the first half because we had good control and better understanding of shot selection. If we can focus on boxing out and limiting our turnovers, we will be competing at a higher level; which we are capable of doing," coach
