Box Score 2 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College split at home with Marywood University on Saturday, the men winning 9-0 and the women losing 9-0.
How it happened: In men's play, Penn College swept all six singles and three doubles matches in improving to 4-1, while the Wildcat women lost in all nine matches to drop to 1-5.
Inside the box: Men's singles winners for Penn College were Tucker Phillippe-Johansson at No. 1, 6-3, 6-4; Alex Norris at No. 2, 6-1, 6-0; Paul Langbein at No. 3, 6-0, 6-1; Jesse Kight at No. 4, 6-1, 6-2; and Tommy Cavanagh and Zack Burkhart at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, both by forfeit.
Doubles winners were Phillippe-Johansson/Langbein at No. 1, 8-2; Burkhart/Cavanagh at No. 2, 8-4; and Norris/Kight at No. 3, by forfeit.
For the women's team, Mary Kathryn Hillman, at No. 1 singles, had the most competitive match before losing, 7-5, 7-5.
