LEBANON, Pa. — Penn College closed out its fall golf season on Monday at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational with a second-place team and second-place individual finish by Peyton Mussina.

How it happened: Mussina tied for medalist honors with Marymount University's Jackson Newton after they both shot four-over 76 on the par 72, 6,562-yard Lebanon Country Club course. Newton then was awarded first place based on a better score on the second handicapped hole. Also for Penn College in the 64-player field, Gavin Baer tied for fifth with a 79, Will Orwig tied for 13th with an 82, Trevor Keaton tied for 31st with an 87 and Gunner Redmond tied for 44th with a 92. Only the top four scores count toward the team title.

The field: Hood College took team honors with a 318 and was followed by Penn College, 324; Marymount, 325; Stevenson, 333; Elizabethtown, 343; Penn State Berks, 343; Lancaster Bible College, 345; Misericordia, 352; Lebanon Valley Blue, 353; Penn State Brandywine, 365; Albright College, 385; and Lebanon Valley White, 474. Muhlenberg College and Neumann University teams did not finish.
