CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Penn College golfers combined for a 332 and finished third in a four-team field at the Wilson College Invitational on Monday. Will Orwig shot a 79 and tied for third to lead the Wildcat individuals.
How it happened: Orwig was six-over-par on the par 73, 6,801-yard Chambersburg Country Club course. Also for Penn College, Gavin Baer shot an 80 and tied for fifth, Alex Acree shot an 84 and tied for 12th, Sean McNamara shot an 89 and placed 15th and Nate Williamson shot a 102 and tied for 17th.
The field: Hood College captured the team title with a 321 and was followed by Catholic University at 323, Penn College and Wilson College at 422. Kaden Kinard, of Catholic University, topped the 23-player field with a 76.
Up next: Penn College is scheduled to compete in the Bloomsburg Husky Invitational at Frosty Valley Golf Club at noon on Thursday.
