Wildcats fall at Penn State Abington

ABINGTON, Pa. — Penn College tennis teams both lost at in United East play at Penn State Abington on Saturday, the men by a 7-2 score and the women by a 9-0 score. The Penn College men now are 1-3 in the conference and 6-5 overall, while its women are 1-3, 2-10. Penn State Abington's men are 2-2, 5-5 and its women are 2-7, 1-3.

How it happened: PS Abington's men won five singles and two doubles matches, while its women's squad took all six singles and three doubles matches.

Inside the box: Penn College men winning their matches were Tucker Phillippe-Johansson at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, and Phillippe-Johansson/Paul Langbein at No. 1 doubles, 8-4.

The Wildcats' No. 1 doubles team of Delaney Bouton/Kelly Williams had the most competitive women's match as they fell, 8-6.

Up next: Penn College returns to UE play at Lancaster Bible College at noon on Saturday.
