Box Score 2 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College's spring tennis season got underway on Saturday at home against King's College with the women losing 7-2 and the men falling 8-1. The Penn College women now are 2-2 overall (after going 2-1 in the fall) and the men are 0-3 (after going 0-2 in the fall). King's men are 1-6 and its women are 1-5.
How it happened: Penn College's women won one of six singles matches and one of three doubles matches, while the Wildcat men took one singles match.
Inside the box: Winning for the women were Lauren Peck at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2, and Faith Murray-Georgia Macensky at No. 2 doubles, 8-7. On the men's side, Logan Ogden picked up the lone win at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-2.
Up next: The Penn College women host Lock Haven University at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 24. and the men travel to Penn State Harrisburg for their United East opener at 3 p.m. on April 3.
