LATHAM, N.Y. -- Penn College Owen Kupsey (Chadds Ford, Pa.) was named the season's first United East Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday. 

The sophomore attackman was the spark in the Wildcats' 16-15, season-opening victory at Susquehanna on Saturday. Kupsey netted a first-period hat-trick and finished with a game-high seven goals on 10 shots (nine on-goal). He also caused three turnovers and collected a ground ball in the win. 

Penn College is back in action for its home-opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m., against Juniata.
