Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost a 77-76 game to Penn State DuBois Tuesday night. The Wildcats had the 76-75 edge in the final 42 seconds of the game but were unable to answer two free throws from DuBois with a possession in the final 12 seconds of the game. Junior James Boylan (Newton, N.J.) had a career high 17 point in the game going 6 for 9 (.667) from the field. Freshman Ezra Adams (Muncy) added 12 points and a team-leading 14 rebounds in the loss that drops the team to 1-14 overall and 1-6 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

DuBois (4-12, 3-7 PSUAC) opened the game on a 14-4 run. The team held the lead until the ninth when the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run, four from Adams, to put them on top 27-21.

The Lions fought back taking a 37-31 lead in the final minute of the half. Freshman David Ware Jr. (Philadelphia) went on a solo 5-0 run to help Penn College go into the break down only 37-35.

The first half was evening matched with both teams pulling down 22 rebounds and shooting in the low 40 percent.

In the second, a 7-0 run in the 19th put the Wildcats up 47-41. They held onto the lead until the 14th when DuBois went on run to go up 57-53. The game stayed tight with DuBois holding the slight edge until the second when Boylan and freshman Jerome Edwards (Philadelphia) hit back-to-back buckets to go up 76-75.

Also for the Wildcats, freshman Thomas Ross (Williamsport) had 11 points and sophomore Nathaniel Brown (Philadelphia) had eight assists.

Penn College next travels to Penn State Beaver, on Friday, Jan. 24 for an 8 p.m. game.
