Box Score WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Despite 16 points from freshman David Ware Jr. (Philadelphia), the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 93-64 to Penn State Wilkes-Barre Monday. The game was the final for the season for the Wildcats. Wilkes-Barre had a monster first half outscoring Penn College 50-30. With the loss, Penn College finishes the season 4-21 overall and 3-13 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Junior James Boylan (Newton, N.J.) opened the game with a jumper to put Penn College on the board first. The game was tight over the first nine minutes of play with the score being tied three times. Boylan ended the day with eight points.
Closing out the half, the Lions started to pull away outscoring Penn College 15-0 in the final three minutes.
Ware Jr. scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half helping the Wildcats total 34.
Also for Penn College, sophomore Nathaniel Brown (Philadelphia) had nine points.
The team shot 23 for 73 (.301) for the game and had a tough time in the paint being out-rebounded 50 to 31. Freshman Ezra Adams (Muncy) led the team with five boards.
