Robyn Beddow (Lancaster) and
Laresa Paden (Mifflintown), the Pennsylvania College of Technology recorded its first win of the season downing Baptist Bible 2-0 Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats dominated the offense outshooting their opponents 28-13. Sophomore keeper
Colleen Bowes (Wayne) recorded the shutout win with nine saves. The victory now evens out the team's record to 1-1.
Despite outshooting Baptist Bible (0-3) 17-3 in the first half, the Lady Wildcats could only net one goal. It came in the third when Beddow knocked in a cross from freshman
Hailee Hartman (Lampeter). Baptist Bible's keeper Katelyn King made seven saves in the half to keep it to a one-goal game.
In the second half, it took Penn College until the 68
th to score another, this time from Paden who sent a laser in from outside the 18 past the keeper. Bowes made 8 saves in the half to preserve the shutout.
Next up, Penn College travels to SUNY IT to start its conference play on Saturday, Sept. 6 for a noon match.
