Wildcats Win One Match at King’s Invitational

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Other than one doubles match win, Penn College's men's tennis team found the going rough over the weekend in the King's College Invitational.

How it happened: The duo of Hunter Knosky-Will Long won their opening match and found themselves in a tiebreaker in their second match when, according to coach David Straub, "Hunter began to cramp up and they had to forfeit."

Suffering losses in their opening singles matches of the single-elimination event were Alex Norris, John Finnegan, Jayden Manbeck, Logan Ogden, Seth Priestman, Knosky and Frankie Gagilardi. And in doubles, Norris-Finnegan, Priestman-Matt Williams and Manbeck-Ogden.

Up next: The Penn College men and women host Susquehanna University at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Central PA Tennis Club.
