Barrett & Cross Named to United East All-Conference Team

LATHAM, N.Y. -- For the second consecutive season, Penn College seniors Gavin Barrett and Livingston Cross represented the Wildcats on the United East Men's Basketball All-Conference First Team after the league unveiled the 2025 All-Conference list on Wednesday. Barrett became the first Wildcat in the NCAA-era to earn three all-conference selections, and the Barrett-Cross duo are the first back-to-back first team selections since Penn College became a member of the NCAA.

Barrett paced the league, and was third nationally with 179 assists and fourth averaging 6.4 assists per game while he was just one of three Division III players to record a triple-double with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists against Penn State Abington on Jan. 2. Barrett produced six 20-point games and scored a career-high 33 points against Alfred State on Dec. 3. The Roselle, N.J., native finished his career with 1,608 points, tops in the NCAA-era that began in 2014 and third on the all-time list behind Greg Solyak's 1,629 and Leroy Joiner's 1,620.

Barrett joined Joiner as the only three time first team all-conference recipient in program history.

Cross led the country with 23 double-doubles this season and was the lone conference player to average a double-double (22.3 points, 13.2 rebounds). He led the league, and finished top-5 nationally in rebounds per game  and defensive rebounds per game (9.14). Cross finished the season with a team-high 623 points and 369 rebounds to set new program single-season records in both categories. The Union, N.J., product ended his three-year Wildcat career with 1,315 points, second in the NCAA era and fifth all-time behind Solyak, Joiner, Barrett and Joe Simon (1,425). He also set a new career rebounding record with 711 boards.

Barrett and Cross led the Wildcats to their second consecutive UE postseason and earned two upset victories to reach the United East semifinals where they went to the overtime buzzer against the eventual UE Champions, Bryn Athyn.
