LATHAM, N.Y. -- Penn College women's soccer freshman
Ella Garman was named United East Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 21, announced by the conference on Monday. It is the first weekly award recognition for the Wildcats this season and the first career honor for Garman.
The Boiling Springs, Pa., native led the Wildcats to a 2-0 week against Penn State Altoona and La Roche with three goals on 11 shots and six shots on-goal. Against the Lions on Wednesday, Garman scored a season-high two unassisted goals in a 3-0 victory. Garman added one goal in the first minute of the second half against La Roche on Saturday to gain the team lead with five goals on the season.
Garman and the Wildcats are back in action on Wednesday when they host Ramapo at 7 p.m.
