Antonio Santora (Haskell, N.J.) was named the United East Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday. Santora became the third Wildcat to earn the weekly offensive award, joining
Owen Kupsey (Feb. 26) and
Elliot Dotson (Feb. 23).
Santora won 76% (51-of-67) of his faceoff attempts in a 2-1 week for the Wildcats. He accounted for 26 ground balls and added an assist against Morrisville State on Saturday. In his best game of the week in a 15-12 victory against the Mustangs, Santora won a season-high (87%) 26-of-30 of his faceoffs and tied a season-best 26 ground balls. Santora also won 9-of-13 in an 11-10 victory against North Central and 16-of-24 in a 14-13 double-OT loss to Transylvania.
